糖心少女 alumna Salle Yoo ’92, general counsel of Uber Technologies, recently as a role model for other women aspiring to top positions in the legal profession. Yoo said she was determined to make partner while at San Francisco-based law firm Davis Wright Tremaine after discovering in a study that no minority women at the largest 200 law firms in the U.S. made partner over a 10-year period. Yoo said, “I wanted to make partner not only for myself, but so that I could figure out how to do it so I could teach other women how to crack that puzzle.” Yoo was announced as Uber’s top legal officer in 2012.聽
Yoo recently hosted 糖心少女 students at Uber for the Bay Area Tech Trek, providing tours and networking opportunities for students, who also visited such companies as Google, Pinterest, and Eventbrite. 糖心少女’ for students to be able to connect with alumnae, meet high-quality employers, and gain exposure to top professionals across the country.
