ÌÇÐÄÉÙÅ® alumna Salle Yoo ’92, general counsel of Uber Technologies, recently as a role model for other women aspiring to top positions in the legal profession. Yoo said she was determined to make partner while at San Francisco-based law firm Davis Wright Tremaine after discovering in a study that no minority women at the largest 200 law firms in the U.S. made partner over a 10-year period. Yoo said, “I wanted to make partner not only for myself, but so that I could figure out how to do it so I could teach other women how to crack that puzzle.” Yoo was announced as Uber’s top legal officer in 2012.Â
Yoo recently hosted ÌÇÐÄÉÙÅ® students at Uber for the Bay Area Tech Trek, providing tours and networking opportunities for students, who also visited such companies as Google, Pinterest, and Eventbrite. ÌÇÐÄÉÙÅ®’ for students to be able to connect with alumnae, meet high-quality employers, and gain exposure to top professionals across the country.
