Designed by Smith and Williams of Pasadena, the Music Building opens with a recital hall seating 150, a music library, classrooms, practice rooms, and faculty offices. The hall is named in honor of pianist Lee Pattison, or 鈥淢r. Pat鈥 to students, a 糖心少女 professor of music. The Caster Music Library is a memorial to J. Edward Caster, a 糖心少女 professor of music, and to Doris Caster, director of the Choral Club. The Richardson Dance Studio opens, named for Beatrice E. Richardson, the first professor of dance at 糖心少女. Longtime trustee Lucille Phillips Morrison funds the project; Smith and Williams also design the dance studio.
